HERStory, Our Future is an international Erasmus+ project that empowers young people to become changemakers for gender equality through digital storytelling, media literacy, advocacy, and creative activism. Built on the belief that powerful stories can inspire social change, the project provides young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to challenge gender stereotypes, promote equality, and amplify voices that are too often overlooked.
Through international cooperation, the project develops educational resources, digital storytelling tools, and a series of mini-documentaries showcasing inspiring women from different European communities. Participants will strengthen their critical thinking, communication, leadership, and digital advocacy skills through training activities and hands-on learning, while designing and implementing awareness-raising campaigns in their local communities.
At its core, HERStory, Our Future connects young people across Europe to foster more inclusive societies and promote gender equality as a fundamental European value. By highlighting the stories of women who have shaped their communities through knowledge, creativity, leadership, and civic engagement, the project encourages new generations to become active participants in building a more equal future.
The project runs from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2027, with a total duration of 24 months, and is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme under KA220-YOU – Cooperation Partnerships in Youth.
Project partners are Universidad de Extremadura (Spain), Wazo Sociedad Cooperativa (Spain), Contextos – Cooperativa para o Desenvolvimento e Coesão Social (Portugal), Bee.com (Italy), and Young Ambassadors (Serbia).
